- Examination and imaging. Full assessment of teeth, gums and bite — including recent X-rays.

- Whitening before shading. If whitening is part of the plan, it happens first, so new veneers and crowns are matched to the lighter shade.

An honest word on veneers: porcelain veneers involve removing a thin layer of enamel — permanently. For many people that trade-off is worth it; for younger patients or milder cases, composite bonding achieves a big improvement reversibly at a fraction of the price. The full transformation: if your teeth are heavily worn, discoloured beyond what whitening fixes, or uneven in ways bonding can't solve, a veneer or crown-based makeover is the durable answer — typically 10–15+ years for porcelain with good care.
